Total Flyfisher article... birthday bonus!

January 2011 saw the February edition of Total Flyfisher hit the news stands and with it a 3 page article by Barry Ord Clarke... "Tie better with Bug-Bond" it was a balanced review by Barry and it was illustrated with some great images including a fantastic step by step!

The bouns was Steve Cullen's bloodworm on the front cover... that particular one was build with Bug-Bond according to Steve in an email to me.
All this in the month that we see Bug-Bond being on sale for a year and the start of our 3rd year as a project in hand.... a nice birthday present!

Again thank you to all those that have supported and continue to support Bug-Bond...

Fly Fish Farm - Erik Strijker

I met Erik at the Dutch Fly Fair last year and Erik has been using Bug-Bond on his flies ever since... Erik sent me a short step by step video showing Bug-Bond Lite in use. Enjoy!

Erik Strijker and Sandra Bruins organize fly fishing holidays at the "Giant Mountain" (Krkonoše) near the town Trutnov for beginners, experienced flyfishers and flyfishers with a physical handicap. They also organize two river clinics and one theme holiday a year.

Fly Fish Farm has his own Fishing Lodge that runs as a guesthouse. It is a renovated farm with everything in it.

Of paramount importance to Erik & Sandra is that they have sustainable fishing...
do have a look at their website... organize that holiday and cure the winter blues!!

Off to a good start...

Happy New Year! A bit belated but it has been rather busy here to say the least... this is a quick post to kick the year off... the ice has all but gone and I decided to go for a fish last weekend with a reworked pike fly based on a Riny Sluiter pattern. 4 colours of Finn Raccoon, 4 white saddle hackles, black Arctic Fox and Jungle Cock eyes...

Result 5 pike and 2 losses on the one very mobile fly that can be equally fished fast or slow.

Pause and hold and wait for the take... beautiful.
